Why Grand Forks/Altru? Grand Forks is a big town with a small-town experience. Why Altru? I 1000% couldn't imagine myself going anywhere else. When I say that the attendings support y'all and you truly enjoy being around your coworkers I really mean it! You are given autonomy but feel supported at all times. The program cares well-nigh your mental health and wants you to succeed and will help you in any way they tin.

Why Grand Forks/Altru: I originally applied to the residency due to the obstetrics fellowship. I stayed because I felt at home. Our attendings and other residents truly welcomed me and became my family. The training we receive is and so well rounded and comprehensive.
Ashlyn Kamrath, Physician
Medical School: University of N Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences
Medical Interests: I am interested in all aspects of Family unit Medicine, considering I really relish caring for unabridged families and our community at all stages of life. I have special interests in obstetrical intendance, women's wellness and pediatrics. I am also very easily on with patient care and gravitate towards clinic procedures including procedural contraception, removal of skin lesions, laceration repairs, joint injections, and use of betoken of care ultrasound.
Personal Interests/Hobbies: Outside of piece of work/residency I enjoy spending quality fourth dimension with family unit, friends, and my rescue dog Laynie. I too relish spending my time outdoors, playing league volleyball with my co-residents/kinesthesia/staff, and making traditional family unit dishes similar lefse.
Why Grand Forks/Altru: Imagine a place where you can manage patient care in the hospital, treat patients in clinic, throw some sutures in the emergency room, and delivery a baby all in the aforementioned 24-hour interval. Hither at Altru that dream is a reality. We work hard equally a team to provide infrequent care to our community at all stages of life. In this programme you are pushed to explore the breath of your ability and training supported by passionate and talented physicians that have helped mold our profession of rural Family unit Medicine into the career it is today.

Medical Interests: I enjoy following my patients on both the inpatient and outpatient setting. My medical interests are point of care ultrasound and women's health.
Personal Interests/Hobbies: I savor spending time with my son and my husband. I enjoy golfing and bowling in my free time. My co-residents and I also have a lot of fun hanging out together
Why Grand Forks/Altru: Altru FMR is a very supportive environs to learn medicine. I am surrounded by people that I respect and want to larn from. Chiliad Forks is the perfect size boondocks for young professionals and for families - it has everything yous need and is a lot of fun.

Medical Interests: I love all care aspects from infants to geriatrics. I really savour OB and am planning on doing vaginal deliveries in my practice. I love to effort new things and this residency is the perfect place to get to explore all opportunities.
Personal Interests/Hobbies: I beloved to spend time with family, friends, and my dog, Bellatrix. I also beloved spending time with my co-residents doing many activities with them. Hobbies: blistering, reading, traveling, playing games!
Why Grand Forks/Altru: Altru FMR made me feel as though I was already family from the moment I walked in. The faculty and the residents all asked questions to become to know me more than. They are friendly and and then supportive. I could not see myself in any other institution to experience as comfortable and confident as they make me experience.

Medical Interests: Preventative medicine, Chronic affliction direction (Asthma, COPD, Heart Disease, Diabetes) and Emergency Medicine.
Personal Interests/Hobbies: Motorcycles, Chess, Watches, Volleyball and Soccer
Why M Forks/Altru: From the benign to the serious you will be exposed to all levels of disease in this rural setting. Altru and the Family Medicine Residency Program are unique in that you will exist pushed to strive for excellence but exist supported along the fashion. Medicine is difficult, rural medicine is even harder but to do information technology unsupported is impossible. I count myself blest to work alongside such caring and brilliant physicians.
